Look at what I found at bed bath and beyond

A young girl named Caroline came up and introduced herself and talked about how she’s found The Fault in Our Stars helpful as she lives with lymphoma. She was pretty emotional as we talked, and so was I, and so was the cast, and then suddenly, thousands of people in the crowd began chanting her name.
I realized, Hank, that even if we’re going to be scrutinized for a while by people who don’t know if Nerdfighters fight for or against nerds, Nerdfighteria is still Nerdfighteria.
I realized that the community has never really been about us, Hank, it’s been about having big conversations around big questions, and lifting up people who need it

Guys, please, stop sending falling-for-hours hate messages. We had a disagreement, that is all, there is no basis for that kind of behavior. Thank you for being supportive of me while I was addressing a criticism, but lets not let things get out of hand.

Sincerely,

Brit

I dislike the phrase “Internet friends,” because it implies that people you know online aren’t really your friends, that somehow the friendship is less real or meaningful to you because it happens through Skype or text messages. The measure of a friendship is not its physicality but its significance. Good friendships, online or off, urge us toward empathy; they give us comfort and also pull us out of the prisons of our selves. I imagine that part of Esther was sad to give up the illusion that she was going to be okay with her Internet friends, but what followed was a revelation for all of us. Our Internet friendships were real and they were powerful, and they became more real and powerful when Esther and her friends were finally able to acknowledge and openly discuss the truth about her illness.

I would like to point out to everyone who seems to think that John kills off a lot of characters (because I have seen several posts about this on varying topics) but he really hasn’t. Out of the six books he has written/co-written he has killed off 2 main characters, two

Hi! My name is Charlotte and I’m part of a project that is trying to start an online literary magazine for Nerdfighteria. We’ve already gotten some interest in the project, but we’d like to receive enough submissions by March 1 to publish our first issue this spring. The most recent post I’ve written about it is here: pourlapetitefleur (dot) tumblr (dot) com/post/71369121969/nerdfighter-literary-magazine-needs-you

 Thank you and DFTBA! Charlotte

So I finally got this tattoo, I know I broke John Green’s rule (as this is my first tattoo) but honestly this quote means so much to me as someone with anxiety.  I go through very intense and very scary times where my heart is pounding really fast and I always think of this quote and just remind myself that; hey my body does this when i’m having fun, when i’m playing hockey, chilling with my friends or listening to my favourite songs etc, and that’s why I got it as a permanent reminder that i’m going to be okay.

Hey! I know you’re a blog for JG quotes and I’ve been following you for a while now. But I wrote a song about The Fault In Our Stars and I really wanted you and your followers to listen to it and see what you guys think. It does have some quotes and a lot of elements from the book. Thanks :) Greetings from Nicaragua!

This. Song. Is. Beautiful. go listen to it right now. like. seriously. Now if you’ll excuse me I will be fangirling over there.

Dear weheartit crowd,

You are literally starting to make my job impossible by making it impossible to find original sources for images.

feel so bad for fan artists who make all these beautiful images I see everywhere only to have them stolen, and reposted over and over and over and over and over again with no link, no mention, no credit to the original source. I know for a fact there are pages and pages of weheartit stuff that comes directly or indirectly from this blog. I don’t mean to just harp on the weheartit crowd it happens on pinterest (and tumblr and elsewhere) too, but weheartit is home to by far the worst offenders. I used to be able to do a search by image on google and it’s getting to the point where it doesn’t work anymore. There are just too many reposts.

This is a problem that has gotten out of control and it needs to stop. Those fan edits, and fan art, and text graphics, are all someone’s art! And when you take it from weheartit, or anywhere and posted as your own, or not as your own but source less, you are participating in art thievery and it is not acceptable behavior.

This needs to stop. This is not constructive behavior for building an fan community.  If doesn’t have a source don’t post it. If it doesn’t have a source or is the source don’t reblog it. It does not matter how cute that set it with all the little tfios images if it isn’t sourced don’t do it. Please, credit artists who very hard to create all those beautiful works.

With Love,

Brit
